Some of the world's most popular inventions were created by African Americans dating back to 1820. Tricycle, refrigerator, elevator, comb, mail box; everyday objects we can't imagine our lives without.

The challenge was to design an iconic learning material to celebrate Black History Month for children from 5-11 years old. The design was based on the African Americans inventions and contributions in the lighting field.

The result was a 3D puzzle lamp. Each side of the lamp shows a different invention: The ON/OFF Switch, the lamp bulb carbon filament, the Lantern and the traffic light.

Build the 3D puzzle lamp, turn on the light and change the color of the inventions by turning the cylinder.
